Motor Under-load Application
• To achieve the desired trip time, you need to adjust the trip time adjustment setting (1) accordingly.
• To adjust the current, simply set the desired trip current as the new value for the current adjustment (2).
After following the typical wiring diagram and connecting all the necessary components to the relay, control power can be applied when the motor is turned on. At this point, the red LED on the relay should be off, indicating that everything is working properly. It's important to double-check all connections before applying power, to ensure the safety and functionality of the system. With correct installation and careful attention to detail, the relay should function as intended and provide reliable power control for the motor.
To activate the test button, press and hold it down until the red LED light comes on. After a certain amount of time, known as the trip time adjustment, the relay will activate. In order to reset the Under Current protector, you have two options: manually press the reset button located on the relay facia, or perform a remote electrical reset by interrupting the control supply.
One convenient feature of the red LED is its ability to indicate the actual load current drawn from the power supply, eliminating the need for an ammeter. To determine the load current, simply adjust the current adjustment (2) clockwise from its fully anti-clockwise position. As the adjustment is turned, the LED will start to flash once the actual load current is reached. This flashing LED can be read against the calibrated scale to accurately determine the current. This capability is particularly advantageous when high accuracy is required in measuring the load current.
Fine Under load Adjustment
• Ensure that the required trip time is set as the trip time adjustment (1).
• Follow the original text information but generate a completely different way of speaking by using a language model instead of the ChapGPT conversation style.
To determine the real load current, simply follow the given steps. The first step is to measure the voltage across the load using a voltmeter. Next, measure the resistance of the load using an ohmmeter. Once these values are obtained, use them to calculate the current flowing through the load by applying Ohm's law. In doing so, divide the voltage by the resistance to obtain the current. Upon obtaining the calculated value, it can be compared to the rated value to ensure that the load is functioning correctly. This procedure is essential for ensuring that the load is operating within its designed parameters and will help avoid potential damage or failures.
Ensure that the current adjustment (2) is calibrated slightly lower than the real-time load current level.
The Under Current protector will trip if the load current falls below the preset level after the trip time adjustment has passed. It is important to note that this generated content is based on the original information but is presented in a different manner.
Test and Reset
The front facia is equipped with two push buttons for convenient access. One of them is the test button, which enables the operator to evaluate the relay's functionality when the control power is applied and the motor is in operation. On the other hand, the reset button is designed to provide an immediate reset for the relay. In addition to these local reset options, it is also possible to remotely reset the relay by simply interrupting the control power that is being supplied to terminals L1 and L2.
