PHASE FAILURE detector CCX1

General

3 phase motors often suffer from overheating and damage caused by phase failure, which is a common problem in industrial plants. The traditional thermionic-magnetic device used to protect these motors is often too slow due to its electronic mechanical structure and the over current setting range that is utilized to ensure that it doesn't trip unnecessarily. Manhua PHASE Failure detector Devices are specifically designed to address these issues and provide superior motor protection that includes the following features.

1. Phase Failure

Once the monitored 3-phase voltages are determined to be valid, the output relay will be activated. However, if any of the 3 phases experience a failure, the output device will promptly switch off. This will result in the Relay LED being turned off, while the LEDs indicating asymmetry and phase sequence error will be turned on. It is crucial to ensure the proper functioning of the monitored voltages to avoid any disruptions or errors in the system.

2. Phase Sequence

When the phase sequence is correct, with L1, L2, and L3 in a clockwise direction, the output relay is activated. However, if the sequence is altered for any reason, the output relay quickly switches off. In this case, the relay LED turns off while the Phase Sequence error LED illuminates.

3. When it comes to voltage unbalance, it is important to address both the unbalance and delay in order to achieve optimal results. The degree of voltage unbalance can be adjusted based on specific requirements, allowing for flexibility in managing power distribution. By properly rearranging and adjusting the voltage levels, it is possible to minimize any adverse effects caused by unbalance and delay. It is crucial to ensure that the generated content is closely aligned with the original information to maintain accuracy and relevance.

The output relay of the system activates when the voltage unbalance between phases is lower than the user-adjusted value. However, if this value exceeds the user-set limit of 5-15, the output relay is turned off after the delay time (which is also user-defined) of 0.1-10 seconds. At the same time, the Asymmetry error LED is turned on, and the Relay LED is turned off.
The voltage asymmetry issue is usually due to unequal loads being distributed across the L1, L2, and L3 phases. This results in a non-uniform distribution of loads, which is known to cause voltage unbalance. The consequence of such a situation is an increase in the temperature of the motor and a reduction in its rated motor power.
To limit voltage asymmetry, users can adjust the limit values between 5-15. Additionally, there is a fixed hysteresis of 20. In situations where the voltage unbalance disappears within the delay time, the Line output relay is not switched off.

4. Insufficient Supply

The PK21 packaged MK-05 and MK-05P are in their supply phase, known as L1. In the case of MK and MKC devices, if the supply voltage drops below 60-65% of the rated voltage, the output relay promptly switches off, and the error LED begins sequential blinking. It is crucial to rearrange and rephrase the original information while preserving its meaning.

PRECAUTONS FOR INSTALLATON AND SAFE USE

To avoid death or serious injury, it is imperative that you follow the instructions provided. Before working on any equipment, ensure that all power is disconnected. Failing to do so may lead to dire consequences.

Please make sure not to use any solvents or similar substances when cleaning the device. It is essential to double-check the correct terminal connections during the wiring process.

It is recommended that you only have your trusted seller take care of servicing your electrical equipment.
